Michael Perry recalls his, and his business partner Dale Gass?, experiences trying to find and retrieve important email. To put it simply, it was a time consuming and annoying process. They thought there had to be a better way to manage electronic communications, and soon they were hard at work developing it.
What they came up with is IronSentry , a service that provides businesses, or any email user for that matter, with a secure offsite archive for all their email communication, one that is easily accessible, and just as easy to search. Officially launched this past March, after ten months of development and testing, IronSentry has already received a stamp of approval from trail users and paying customers.
?On average, IT staff spend six to eight hours a week searching and retrieving email communications. Given that more than 70% of all critical business information in the form of email and electronic documents, we developed IronSentry to allow each employee the ability to securely store and rapidly access the information that is important to their business.?
?With IronSentry , email is automatically archived the instant it is sent or received, eliminating the time resources and knowledge required to protect critical business information with traditional backup methods. Our customers have the added comfort of knowing that their archived email and information is protected using the latest technology.? More than security, Perry says the service cuts the time generally spent searching for email by using a web-based search tool to sort and query archived email. That means more productivity, and more time to focus on pressing business issues, making it an invaluable tool for small-to-medium-size businesses ? the product?s initial target market. For now, the focus is on promoting the service in Atlantic Canadian and Canadian markets, but Perry also has his sights set on future growth.
?Our vision is that IronSentry will become a one-stop resource, providing a long-term archive for our business customers? electronic information, whatever the format.?
