In this time of economic downturn we all need to be carefull with our money but this does not necessarily mean that we need to cut out all luxuries, especially those that punctuate our life....celebrations. Instead host that wedding or birthday and be wise as to where costs can be cut. Remember its those most important services that you need to make that party a success and one to remember. Of all the services you engage for your special occasion whether it be a Wedding, a Birthday, a Corporate event or any other social affair, you need to weigh the cost of the service in relation to its "success value"....the value of its strength to the overall success of the party.
I recommend that you start by making up two lists.....
The first under the heading of "Most Expensive Service".
The second under the heading of "Success Value".
Now add services to the list....Caterers, Florists, Cake, Car hire, Music DJ Hire,....etc. You will soon find you have two lists with all services listed on both lists with those of most expensive near the top of the first list and those of most success value listed near the top of the other.
When it comes to music and DJ Hire, the usual situation is that DJ Hire will be entered low on the expense list while being rated near the top (if not at the top) of the success value list.
SO WHAT DOES THIS INDICATE??
Well....not just that in general you get good value for money when hiring a DJ for your event, but that if you are looking to save money, do it with services that contribute less to the overall success of the function!
Too many times I see organizers skimping on the music and lavishing precious gold on Wedding cakes or suchlike.
Lets see things clearly....what is more likely to make your party a success, that 50 tiered genius wedding cake or a DJ that can get your party jumping!
